With Henley on the Brazilian watch list (read he couldn't be fff'd getting a Brazilian Visa) it was down to the two passport POMs (self and Monika) to raise the Ozzy flag on the Brazilian side of the Iguacu river.
We'd read up on the on line debate about which side, Argentina or Brazil, offers the best views of these outstanding waterfalls. We were about to make up our own minds !
Our mornings journey to and across the border was short (20 mins) and seamless and we were soon boarding our Brazilian Iguacu Park bus to the start (4kms) of the 1km walking trail.
My Initial thoughts were what a disappointment the Brazilian trail was. A narrow concrete path, full of tourists fighting to get on the small lookout platforms for distant views of the Argentinian falls !
My disappointment was not about to last though as each proceeding lookout grew in size and spectacle until we arrived at the "piece de la resistance" a magnificent full on "OMG" panorama of 50+ waterfalls !
Talk about mind blowing !
The Argentinian styled walkway put you right out in the mix with the thundering Devils Throat sending a drenching plume of mist over all those on the platform !
What a stunning way to complete our 3 days at Iguazu !
In short both sides offer outstandingly different views of this world wonder!
Back in Argentina we took a quick look at the confluence of the Iguacu and Panar rivers that border 3 countries - Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay before making sure H was alive and well. He'd suffered badly the night before when a power failure forced him to miss out on the televised golf !
Now all that's needed to be done is for us to head back to Buenos Aires with Kev starting off on his 42 hour marathon journey home - Adios amigo !
