If you thought being stuck in a claustrophobic phone box (UK 2011) during a "Noah" like downpour, being transported in the back on an ambulance (Spain 2013), emptying a litre of blood on to a Croatian rail trail (2015) or tackling a pain inducing 100 km long French Canal (2017) was enough to put one KJ Henley off doing it all over again then you're dead wrong !
Held together by more glue & screws than an Ikea furniture set, the original Iron Man and self are back at it again this time on a journey to the land of Gauchos and 12 inch thick Steaks. Why, because as Henley prophetically says - "I've never been there before" !
Our amazing adventure starts with a Redspokes 600km cycle of the spectacular Patagonia region. Here we catch up with great UK friends Kev & Julia on what will be our 5th journey together having first met way back in Tibet in 2010 !
After 3 weeks of being at each others throats (Aussie Kev and self that is ) and having run out of abusive banter to hurl at our UK friends, Mike's wife Monika arrives to help lift the standard !
Our remaining 3 weeks will be split between the incredible scenery of El Calafate and El Chalten, the mind blowing Iguazo Falls and the Nthn Region of Argentina - Salta with its famed high altitude painted landscapes. This will be a photographers paradise and an incredible adventure !
Two vast countries encompassing the Andes Mtns, ancient rain forests, emerald lakes, deserts & volcanoes as well as timeless cultures ! Our adventure starts with a 600km cycle of the Patagonia Lakes region before moving on to the stunning Puerto Montt Glacier, El Chalten and its incredible Mtn scenery, Iguazo Falls one of the wonders of the world and the high altitude painted hills of Salta in Nthn Argentina. What an adventure awaits !
